Resumo
The field of Brazilian culture, during the period of the Brazilian military regime (1964-1985), was gradually invaded by certain types of baffling publications: erotic and pornographic magazines. These fiction magazines helped to shape and form identities, especially regarding the issue of sexuality and Brazilian masculinity, establishing trading channels in the modernization of habits, amid a conservative reform. Thus, diluted in a grey area of a more complex and contradictory process, various statements coming from the society tried to create a. real. discourse on sex, which was eventually assimilated by the market. From the genealogical historical thought of Michel Foucault, we seek to indicate that pornography as disorder of speech made room for questioning attempts to establish a masculinity homogenizing discourse in Brazil. Among periodicals, A revista do Homem (1975) stands out as the main element of these forgotten memories.
