Resumo
O século XXI vem se despontando pelo imenso consumo predatório ao meio ambiente gerando desequilíbrio nas mais variadas formas, escassez de chuvas, aumento da temperatura e clima inóspito aos seres humanos gerando uma problemática socioambiental que afeta a todos os seres vivos. O consumo gerado pelo modo de produção capitalista cresce em proporções dantescas e apesar de todas as iniciativas de vários governantes do mundo em frear esse acelerado consumo esse fato não acontece, mesmo com toda pauperização trazida pela intensificação do consumo, ainda assim, prevalece. Diante dessa crise socioambiental que atinge a toda sociedade, a presente pesquisa tem o interesse em conhecer o trabalho de assistentes sociais que desempenham ações de caráter socioambiental, sobretudo no que estes têm contribuído junto a esta questão. O Serviço Social no decorrer de seu amadurecimento histórico adere ao posicionamento crítico ideológico que faz a categoria se posicionar junto à luta dos trabalhadores, desta forma o profissional tem papel fundamental no contexto contemporâneo que se apresenta o cenário socioambiental. O método para a interpretação da pesquisa foi o materialismo histórico dialético, pois as mutações e complexidades que envolvem o homem e o meio ambiente estão em constante movimento. Desta forma, foi contextualizado o trabalho do assistente social e como este precisa estar constantemente antenado com a realidade. Outras questões também discutidas foram a questão socioambiental presentes na dimensão educativa do fazer profissional do assistente social através da educação ambiental no contexto crítico e/ou conservador com os usuários de seus serviços. A pesquisa revelou que os profissionais que atuam nessa temática socioambiental são poucos e mesmo buscando qualidade em suas ações a quantidade de profissionais nessa área precisa ser ampliada.
The twenty-first century has been marked by the immense predatory consumption of the environment, generating an imbalance in the most varied forms, the scarcity of rains, the increase of temperature and inhospitable climate to humans, generating a socio-environmental problem that affects all living beings. The consumption generated by the capitalist mode of production grows in dantesque proportions, and despite all the initiatives of several rulers of the world in stopping this accelerated consumption, this fact does not happen, even with all the pauperization brought about by the intensification of consumption, nevertheless prevails. In the face of this social and environmental crisis that affects every society, the present research has the interest to know the work of social workers who carry out actions of a socio-environmental nature, above all in that they have contributed to this problem. The Social Work in the course of its historical maturation adheres to the critical ideological position that makes the category stand with the struggle of the workers, in this way the professional plays a fundamental role in the contemporary context that presents the socio-environmental scenario. The method for the interpretation of research was dialectical historical materialism, since the mutations and complexities involving man and the environment are in constant motion. In this way, the work of the social worker has been contextualized and how this needs to be constantly in touch with reality. Other issues also discussed were the socio-environmental issue present in the educational dimension of the social worker's professional doing through environmental education in the critical and / or conservative context with the users of their services. The research revealed that the professionals who work in this socio-environmental theme are few and even seeking quality in their actions the amount of professionals in this area needs to be expanded.
