Resumo
O objetivo dessa pesquisa é analisar o uso do território pelo Estado através do Banco Postal. As transformações sociais, políticas e econômicas ao longo do século XX, aliadas ao aumento de seus fluxos materiais e informacionais permitiram às modificações técnicas dos Correios e dos Bancos, possibilitando a franca expansão dos serviços bancários e financeiros no território brasileiro. Dada sua natureza empresarial, esses agentes implementam um uso corporativo do território buscando vantagens lucrativas, ação essa efetivada por meio de uma solidariedade organizacional entre o Estado e empresas, uma vez que o Estado detém o monopólio das normas territoriais. Daí os serviços financeiros constituírem a variável particular dos Correios e do setor bancário nos anos 2000, pois aliam interesses públicos e privados na ampliação da mais-valia. O uso, e a crescente expansão, das tecnologias de informação e comunicação está modificando a estrutura técnica e jurídica dessas empresas ao mesmo tempo que modificam o território.
This research aims to analyze the use of the Brazilian territory by the State through the Banco Postal. The social, political and economical changes throughout the twentieth century, along with the increase of the material and informational flows, have allowed technical modifications in the Correios and in the banks enabling the great expansion of the financial and bank services in Brazilian territory. Given their entrepreneurial nature, these agents implement a business use of territory searching for lucrative advantages. This action is effectuated through an organizational solidarity between the State and companies, as the State holds the monopoly over the territorial norms. That’s why financial services constitute the particular variable of the Correios and the banking sector in the 2000s, as they join the public and private interests aiming the amplification of the added value. The use and the continuous expansion of the communication and information technologies have modified both the technical and juridical structures from these companies, at the same as time as provoking changes in the territory.
