Resumo
Esse trabalho apresenta um panorama geral da discussão sobre Geografia do Ensino superior, defendendo-o enquanto tema de pesquisa na ciência geográfica. O objetivo desse trabalho urge para entender o impacto do ensino superior na cidade e no espaço urbano sem desconsiderar sua importância para o espaço regional. Os conceitos elencados para trabalhar juntamente com o tema de geografia do ensino superior foram as interações espaciais e territoriais uma vez que por elas entendemos os fluxos e o movimento desse processo e o conceito de escala, entendendo sua problematização mas também considerando o mesmo bastante importante para se entender os processos que ocorrem nas cidades brasileiras a partir da análise multiescalar. A metodologia aplicada trata-se de aplicação de questionário e entrevista; trabalho de campo e sistematização dos dados. Por fim, esse trabalho adentrou mais profundamente no tema das relações da cidade de Presidente Prudente com as instituições de ensino superior nelas contidas a fim de verificar as diferentes expressões desta no espaço urbano.
This paper presents an overview of the discussion on Geography of Higher Education, defending it as a topic of research in geographic science. The objective of this work is to understand the impact of higher education in the city and in the urban space without disregarding its importance for the regional space. The concepts listed to work together with the topic of geography of higher education were the spatial and territorial interactions since they understood the flows and the movement of this process and the concept of scale, understanding its problematization but also considering the same quite important for we can understand the processes that occur in Brazilian cities from the multiscalar analysis. The applied methodology deals with the application of questionnaire and interview; field work and data systematization. Finally, this work went deeper into the theme of the relations of the city of Presidente Prudente with the higher education institutions contained therein in order to verify the different expressions of this in the urban space.
