The present paper, which followed the theoretical-methodological line of Bakhtinian studies, is based on the interactionist and dialogical conception of language, outlining the teaching-learning process in Portuguese Language classes, and sought to develop multiliteracy practices with multisemiotic texts in reading classes. Concerning classroom observations, regarding students' difficulties in reading, especially literary reading, this research aims to collaborate with the teaching of critic literary literacy (COSSON, 2014), in school life, seeking the formation of readers who are proficient, humanized, and knowledgeable of their ability to interpret not only the literary text but also its world and experiences. The project was developed with seventh-grade elementary students from a public school in Bauru/SP, based on a didactic prototype (ROJO; MOURA, 2012; ROJO; BARBOSA, 2015). It aimed to achieve literary literacy with the discursive genre tale through the use of multiple literacies, which consider the dialogue with other textualities in a perspective of the multiplicity of languages, modes, and semiosis reasoned in the dialectic-dialogic language theory of the Bakhtin and his Circle (2011, 2016, 2017). There was also a concern in casting a glance of otherness at the students, the counterpart of the research, and, for that, it was used the fundaments of Amorin (2004), as well as the concepts about studies on literature, reading, and linguistic analysis (CANDIDO, 2002, 2011; CASTRO, 2010; ZILBERMAN, 2009, 2018), among others. We proposed to develop a prototype of reading activities and linguistic analysis using various textual genres: movies, reading room, teaser, drawings, videos, songs, embroidery etc., establishing a dialogue with one another until reaching the chosen tale "A Moça Tecelã" (The Weaving Girl), by Marina Colasanti (2015). With this tale, it was sought to explore critic literary reading, discussing the women's role in the story, and also in the ancient and contemporary social life: weaving and unweaving ideas, myths, prejudices, values, opinions, misogyny, and violence. In this approach, the investigation is characterized as research-action, qualitative-interpretive (LUDKE; ANDRE, 2013), with an intervention that resulted in the achievement of significant literary reading improvement to the student. The research corroborates the premise of rethinking the literature approach in elementary education so that there is an effective contribution to the learning of students, especially those who have a deficient socio-economic condition. The research results demonstrated, through observation and notes describing the activities developed which were written in a field diary, that the students identified themselves with discourses of bullying, racism, misogyny etc. since with each activity done by them it was possible to recognize an increased capacity for context analysis in their speeches. Additionally, the study indicated that approaching literary literacy through the use of tales is a way - among others - to encourage and assist the formation of readers who understand and appreciate what they read and, also, who read beyond the text, make inferences, interpret the context and comprehend the senses linked by them.
