The present work deals with perception in art, taking into account the relationship between the work and the individual, focusing on the metaphorical creation of a space of action, subjective and personal, in which sensory activation would be close to a metaphorical synesthesia. It is then proposed the establishment of what was named Synesthetic Bridge, which would present itself as a temporary and delimiting exchange link between the interactor and the artistic object, sensorially, spatially and temporally activating its perception and memory. In this sense, it brings certain relations with the concept of resonance, developed by Wassily Kandinsky in his book The Spiritual in Art (1996), also dialoguing with Rudolf Arnheim's ideas, regarding perception in the arts, in his book Art and Visual Perception – A Psychology of Creative Vision (2013). As for the relations of the work of art with space and the spectator, the work makes approximations with the text La estetica de la recepcion desde la teoria platonica del arte (1989), by Ricardo Sánchez Ortiz de Urbina, and the books Site-specific Art – Performance, place and documentation (2006), by Nick Keye, and About the Ruins of the Museum (2015), by Douglas Crimp, besides building connections with Michel de Certeau's definitions of “space” and “border”, in the book The Practice of Everyday Life (1998). Relating the concepts of the book Aesthetic Unconscious (2009), by Jacques Rancière, and the reflections of José Ortega y Gasset in the text "The Woods", part of the book Meditations on Quixote (1967), the characteristics of the Synesthetic Bridge are also developed. Finally, some approximations between artist's books and art installations are analyzed, connecting them to the Synesthetic Bridge and raising their possibilities of interrelation, addressing four works: Tábula (2015), by Edith Derdyk, and Abismo (2012), by Lucia Mindlin Loeb, both artist's books, and Embutido Recôncavo – Recôncavo Embutido (2003), by Marepe, and Microscópio para São Paulo (2011), by Olafur Eliasson, two installations.
