Um estudo de dissertações e teses a respeito de biblioteca escolar e mediação de leitura realizadas na Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP

Resumo
Há algumas décadas vem sendo estudado a compreensão de que a biblioteca escolar é de extrema importância para a aprendizagem do aluno, assim como a atuação do mediador que tem como objetivo proporcionar a devida educação à criança nesse espaço. Com isso, apresenta-se este trabalho de conclusão de curso (TCC) que, pautado em referências bibliográficas e em uma pesquisa de Iniciação Cientifica – sem bolsa, elaborada e concluída no ano de 2019, tem como objetivo pesquisar quais são os trabalhos realizados em todos os campi da Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” — UNESP — com os descritores principais: biblioteca escolar e mediação de leitura. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa tem cunho bibliográfico quanti-qualitativo e tem o intuito de discutir a importância de estudar biblioteca escolar e a mediação de leitura. Essa busca se deve à concepção de que o espaço ora mencionado deve ser considerado dentro do ambiente escolar como uma segunda sala de aula que, com sua devida mediação, tem a possibilidade de educar e desenvolver o aluno. Para isso, a metodologia aplicada foi um levantamento de dissertações e teses realizadas na pós-graduação de todos os cursos da área de humanas dos campi da Unesp, por meio da plataforma C@tedra. Como resultado, após utilizar os principais descritores e seus derivados, ler e analisar os títulos e resumos dos trabalhos, foram escolhidas 7 (sete) pesquisas acadêmicas, dentre elas, 4 (quatro) dissertações e 3 (três) teses, dos campi de Presidente Prudente e Marília, das linhas de pesquisas voltadas para a Educação e Ciência da Informação, considerando a aderência temática aos objetivos deste estudo. Partindo da ótica quantitativa, percebe-se a pequena quantidade de trabalhos voltados para o tema, provocando a reflexão acerca da ausência de debates acerca desses assuntos na matriz curricular de cursos voltados para a área da Educação, como Pedagogia e Letras, e da área da Biblioteconomia. Quanto à pesquisa qualitativa, houve a análise desses sete trabalhos e a inigualável contribuição de pesquisadores que trouxeram discussões sobre: o histórico da biblioteca; sua atuação social e política; a importância da biblioteca escolar; sua realidade nas escolas; a problematização da profissionalização do bibliotecário; a mediação em vários âmbitos educacionais; as dificuldades dos mediadores na biblioteca escolar; a necessidade da formação continuada, entre outros temas importantes para construção do conhecimento. Visto isso, este estudo terá uma estrutura que contempla: introdução, justificativa, objetivos, metodologia, análise dos trabalhos escolhidos e conclusão. Com isso, esta pesquisa ponderou o que está sendo estudado a respeito do ambiente da biblioteca e a necessária mediação, a fim de que a luta por uma educação de qualidade permaneça nas pesquisas acadêmicas e atinja as práticas realizadas nas instituições educacionais.
For some decades, the understanding that the school library is extremely important for student learning has been studied, as well as the role of the mediator who aims to provide the proper education to the child in this space. With that, we present this course conclusion work (TCC) which, based on bibliographic references and on a research of Scientific Initiation - without scholarship, elaborated and completed in the year 2019, aims to research what are the works carried out in all campuses of the Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” — UNESP — with the main descriptors: school library and reading mediation. Therefore, this research has a quanti-qualitative bibliographic nature and aims to discuss the importance of studying school library and reading mediation. This search is due to the conception that the space mentioned above should be considered within the school environment as a second classroom that, with its proper mediation, has the possibility to educate and develop the student. For this, the methodology applied was a survey of dissertations and theses carried out in the postgraduate course of all courses in the humanities of the campuses of Unesp, through the C@tedra platform. As a result, after using the main descriptors and their derivatives, reading and analyzing the titles and abstracts of the works, 7 (seven) academic researchers were chosen, among them, 4 (four) dissertations and 3 (three) theses, from the campuses of Presidente Prudente and Marília, from the lines of research focused on Education and Information Science, considering the thematic adherence to the objectives of this study. From the quantitative point of view, the small amount of works focused on the theme can be seen, provoking reflection on the absence of debates about these subjects in the curricular matrix of courses focused on the area of Education, such as Pedagogy and Letters, and on the area of Librarianship. As for qualitative research, there was an analysis of these seven works and the unparalleled contribution of researchers who brought discussions about: the history of the library; its social and political performance; the importance of the school library; its reality in schools; the problematization of the professionalization of the librarian; mediation in various educational areas; the difficulties of mediators in the school library; the need for continuing education, among other important topics for the construction of knowledge. In view of this, this study will have a structure that includes: introduction, justification, objectives, methodology, analysis of the chosen works and conclusion. With this, this research considered what is being studied about the library environment and the necessary mediation, so that the fight for a quality education remains in academic research and reaches the practices carried out in educational institutions.
