Resumo
A alvenaria estrutural, é um método construtivo que consiste na utilização da alvenaria não só como vedação, mas também com finalidade estrutural, ou seja, a própria parede é responsável pela transmissão dos esforços do edifício para a fundação. Quando bem projetada e executada resulta em eficácia, qualidade e economia e por isso vem sendo um dos métodos mais utilizado nas últimas décadas. Nesse contexto, o trabalho tem como objetivo principal demonstrar e exemplificar as vantagens da alvenaria estrutural, suas funcionalidades, especificações e mostrar a importância em se realizar o controle tecnológico da mesma. Foi realizado um estudo de caso em uma obra executada na cidade de Ribeirão Preto/SP, tendo como foco os resultados do controle tecnológico da alvenaria estrutural, realizado por uma empresa especializada. E com isso, foi possível verificar problemas nos materiais utilizados e realizar um reforço estrutural evitando possíveis patologias na estrutura do edifício.
Structural masonry is a construction method that consists of the use of masonry not only as a seal, but also for structural purposes, that is, the wall itself is responsible for transmitting the efforts of the building to the foundation. When well designed and executed, it results in efficiency, quality and economy and, therefore, has been one of the most used methods in recent decades. In this context, the main objective of the work is to demonstrate and exemplify the advantages of structural masonry, its features, specifications and to show the importance of carrying out its technological control. A case study was carried out in a work carried out in the city of Ribeirão Preto/SP, focusing on the results of the technological control of structural masonry, carried out by a specialized company. And with that, it was possible to verify the inefficiency of the materials used and to carry out a structural reinforcement, avoiding possible pathologies in the structure of the building.
