Organizações do terceiro setor do município de Jaboticabal: compreensões acerca do voluntariado

Resumo
A sociedade neoliberal entende a pobreza como responsabilidade individual de cada um, incentivando um Estado pouco intervencionista, que precariza a distribuição de verba voltada ao bem-estar social. O Terceiro Setor e as organizações não governamentais (ONG), portanto, são vistos como responsáveis pelo acolhimento daqueles em situações precárias. Para um melhor entendimento, foram identificadas as ONGs de Jaboticabal e qual público recebia maior atenção por parte das mesmas. Realizou-se entrevistas em cada uma das organizações mapeadas e, a partir disso, foi possível compreender a importância da inserção do trabalhador voluntário em cada uma delas. Em uma sociedade com significativo número de habitantes desamparados e pouca verba destinada pelo governo para atendê-los, o voluntariado é imprescindível para que as organizações desempenhem seu papel. Concluiu-se, então, a partir do panorama histórico e social sobre o Terceiro Setor e da realidade apresentada na cidade de Jaboticabal, que o contexto histórico da política do Brasil está intrinsecamente relacionado à maneira de atuação das ONGs.
Neoliberal society understands poverty as the individual responsibility of each one, encouraging a little interventionist State, which makes the distribution of funds aimed at social welfare precarious. The Third Sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), therefore, are seen as responsible for welcoming those in precarious situations. For a better understanding, the NGOs of Jaboticabal were identified and which public received more attention from them. Interviews were carried out in each of the mapped organizations and, from that, it was possible to understand the importance of the insertion of the volunteer worker in each of them. In a society with a significant number of helpless inhabitants and little funds allocated by the government to assist them, volunteering is essential for organizations to play their role. It was concluded, then, from the historical and social panorama of the Third Sector and the reality presented in the city of Jaboticabal, that the historical context of Brazilian politics is intrinsically related to the way NGOs act.
