Resumo
A Teoria E-S (BARON-COHEN, 2009), utilizada para identificar tipos cerebrais com prevalência no espectro autista, sugere um “cérebro masculino” e um “cérebro feminino” e com isso busca demonstrar que mulheres são mais empáticas do que homens, o que pode ser usado como justificativa para demonstrar que o comportamento masculino é diferente do feminino, diferença que possuiria fundamentação biológica. Porém a pesquisa reforça preconceitos patriarcais, buscando justificá-los como inerentes aos sexos sem justificar a construção social do indivíduo. Algumas pesquisas da área de música e cognição utilizam a pesquisa anterior como referência (GREENBERG et al., 2015; RABINOWITCH, 2015) e demonstram o quanto a primeira pode ser aproveitada sem impor um possível viés de gênero. Este estudo propõe apresentar um modelo transdisciplinar entre as áreas de música, empatia e masculinidade de acordo com o que existe na literatura e examina a literatura desses construtos sob o ponto de vista da cognição.
The ES Theory (BARON-COHEN, 2009), used to identify brain types prevalent on the autistic spectrum, suggests a “male brain” and a “female brain” and thereby seeks to demonstrate that women are more empathic than men, which can be used as a justification to demonstrate that male behavior is different from female, a difference that would have a biological basis. However, the research reinforces patriarchal prejudices, seeking to justify them as inherent to the sexes without justifying the social construction of the individual. Some research in the area of music and cognition use the previous research as a reference (GREENBERG et al., 2015; RABINOWITCH, 2015) and demonstrate how much the first can be used without imposing a possible gender bias. This study proposes to present a transdisciplinary model between the areas of music, empathy and masculinity according to what exists in the literature and examines the literature of these constructs from the point of view of cognition.
