Mediação transmidiática: o efeito da leitura nas webséries de obras de Jane Austen

Resumo
Pressupondo que a obra literária é passível de várias interpretações e o espaço virtual é uma extensão do real, sendo a narrativa seriada propiciadora de interação com o público e o estudo da mediação de literatura na web um caminho para entender as narrativas transmidiáticas, esta tese analisa os efeitos de leitura nos espectadores de adaptações de duas obras literárias da autora inglesa Jane Austen na forma de webséries transmidiáticas e, refletindo sobre os resultados, propõe um conceito para mediação transmidiática. Sendo assim, tem como objetivos específicos apresentar os fundamentos teóricos sobre a Estética da Recepção e a Mediação da Literatura que embasam a análise, verificar os efeitos da leitura no caso específico das webséries The Lizzie Bennet Diaries e Emma Approved e construir o conceito proposto. A metodologia de cunho quali-quantitativo consiste em uma aplicação da Estética da Recepção como método de análise, com base nos estudos de Hans Robert Jauss e Regina Zilberman. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de uma pesquisa documental. Conclui-se que os efeitos de leitura nos webespectadores se constata na concretização de pontos de indeterminação que propiciam o prazer poiético, na quebra das expectativas instauradas pelas leituras prévias dentro da série literária por meio de mudanças necessárias para inserir a narrativa no contexto da adaptação, permitindo o prazer catártico, e na facilidade de se reler a narrativa, ensejando o prazer aistético. Isso se dá em um plano de contingência predominantemente assimétrico, com resultados estatísticos que comprovam o baixo grau de interação, porém com a instauração de uma contingência mútua que se evidencia na duração da narrativa e no aspecto comunitário da leitura. Como o ambiente que proporciona essa recepção é exclusivamente a web, conclui-se também que o leitor cujo perfil foi construído durante a análise pode ser chamado de web leitor. Ademais, com apoio na teoria ricoeuriana, conceituou-se a mediação transmidiática como aquela que ocorre pela substituição do objeto cultural original pelo adaptado ou pela fragmentação da mimese II em múltiplas mídias antes da recepção estética.
Assuming that the literary work is susceptible to many interpretations and that the virtual space is an extension of the real, with the narrative in series enabling the interaction with the audience and the study of mediation of literature in the web opening a path to understand transmedia narratives, this thesis analyzes the reading effects on the viewers of two literary works by the english writer Jane Austen in the format of transmedia webseries and, reflecting upon the results, proposes a concept for transmedia mediation. Thus, sets as specific objectives to present the theoretical fundaments of Reader Response Theory and Literary Mediation that lay the groundwork for the analysis, to verify the reading effects in the specific case of the webseries "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" and "Emma Approved" and to conceptualize transmedia mediation. The quali-quantitative methodology adopted was an application of Reader Response Theory as an analysis method, based on the studies of Hans Robert Jauss and Regina Zilberman. The data was gathered through a documental research. Concludes that the reading effects in the viewers can be seen in the concretization of the indetermination points that enable the poiethic pleasure, in the rupture of the horizon of expectation set by the previous reading inside the literary series through the necessary changes that insert the narrative in the new context of the adaptation, allowing the experience of cathartic pleasure, and the ease of reread the narrative, enabling the aisthetic pleasure. This happens in a contingency plan that is mainly assymetric, with statisc results that proove the low level of interaction, however with the consolidation of a mutual contingency that can be seen in the duration of the narrative and the communitary aspect of the reading. As the environment that enables tis reception is exclusively the Web, it was understood that the reader profiled in the analysis can be called "web reader". In addition to that, employing the ricoeurian theory, conceptualizes transmedia mediation as the one that occurs with the replacement of the original cultural object by the adapted one or by the fragmentation of mimesis II in multiple medias before the aesthetic reception.
