Calacarus heveae n. sp. is described from the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg. (Euphorbiaceae), collected in northwestern São Paulo, Brazil. This is the first record of eriophyid mites on Hevea brasiliensis and the first record for the genus in South America. © 1992 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
