A qualitative bibliographic search restricted to the analysis of case studies was adopted as research strategy to identify trends and patterns from the implementation of the AHP method in the industry. AHP proved to be viable in several ways in industrial application, with a greater incidence in automotive industry. It was possible to verify a trend in the use of the method in question for problems of selection and ordering; the use of a team of experts and literature as the source of the criterion; and the number of alternatives is always less than or equal to five. Is considered as standard group judgment being AIJ; the number of criteria is always equal to or greater than the number of alternatives; and sensitivity analysis is also considered as another possible standard, which tends to ensure the consistency of its solutions
