The advancement of modern technology has led to increased use of sensors in industries. Thus, the calibration of these sensors has become essential for ensuring the reliability of measurements and process quality. The objective of this work was to design and build two types of force transducers and compare their calibration results. In order to do that, analytical and numerical models were used for the design of transducers, and calibration was performed by applying tensile strength and compression through a single axial testing machine and, subsequently, comparison of the results of reproducibility errors, interpolation error and measurement uncertainty was performed. As a result, it was observed that the column load cell presented superior quality to the flexion load cell. Thus, there is a need for further investigation into the differences observed between the two transducers in focus, considering an improvement of the analytical model related to the bending load cell
