Resumo
Na atualidade as mudanças tecnológicas alcançaram todos os setores da vida humana e têm um papel fundamental no setor industrial. No Brasil, apesar da incorporação de tecnologia ainda enfrentar muitos obstáculos, o Estado de São Paulo desenvolveu sofisticada base industrial e concentra as principais empresas no ramo. E o interior paulista é uma das áreas mais importantes do país, com crescimento e desenvolvimento recente, associado principalmente, à implantação de uma estrutura industrial moderna, de empresas exclusivas. A região administrativa de Presidente Prudente, no entanto, é considerada no conjunto das regiões administrativas do Estado, área sem tradição industrial, mais voltada para a atividade agropecuária. O objetivo maior desta investigação foi interpretar o papel econômico das empresas industriais de ramos e portes diferenciados existentes na região, além de averiguar como suas empresas tradicionais e modernas se portam frente às necessidades de inovação tecnológica que imperam nas mais diversas esferas produtivas. Essa pesquisa fez uma análise sobre as atividades industriais, numa interpretação de seus nexos territoriais e sociais, bem como de suas diferenciações e articulações geo-econômicas, focalizando principalmente, o desenvolvimento da base tecnológica de algumas empresas implantadas na região, porção territorial com carência econômica de investimentos privados e estatais, uma “incapacidade” que pode representar um tipo qualitativo diferente, até mesmo singular, de desenvolvimento para o futuro.
At the present time the technological changes reached all the sections of the human life and they have a fundamental role in the industrial section. In spite of the technology incorporation, Brasil still faces many obstacles, althought the State of São Paulo developed sophisticated industrial base and it concentrates the main industrial companies. São Paulo’s interior is one of the most important areas of the country and it have experienced recent development with economic growth, this is due mainly to the implantation of a modern industrial structure as well as exclusive companies. Presidente Prudente’s region, however is considered in the group of the others areas of State, an area without industrial tradition, owe to its agricultural based activity. The aim of this research is to interprete the economic role of a group of the industrial companies that vary in size and kind of production in this region, besides that discover these traditional and modern companies perform trough the demand for technological innovations that dominate most part of the productive spheres. This research also contains an analysis about industrial activities interpretating its territorial and social connections, in addition to its differentiations and geo-economic articulations, focus mainly on the development of the technological base of some companies implanted the area, whose lack of private and state investments can the inability which mean a different, even singular, qualitative type of future development.
