Agroecology represents a diversity of methods and techniques of agricultural production that enables the reproduction in the field of subaltern subjects in society, enabling their permanence in the field, relying heavily on sustainable and ecologically correct production, this productive model has been demonstrating great potential for agricultural transition that sooner or later it will be necessary to correct the errors caused by the current conventional model of agricultural production that is based on the large-scale production of monocultures that cause various social and environmental problems because the main objective of conventional agriculture is marketing, not concerned with climate and biodiversity issues. The present work aims to investigate and demonstrate the capacity that agroecology has as an alternative production model allowing the permanence of small producers who work and resist in the field that even in the face of so many adversities in recent years this productive model was a key element for permanence and adaptation as producers and social actors, against the backdrop of agrarian reform settlements and strong political action.
