Resumo
A presente pesquisa aborda a importância da polinização na produção de frutos em espécies frutíferas de angiospermas. A polinização desempenha um papel
crucial na reprodução sexual dessas plantas, influenciando diretamente a qualidade e a quantidade de frutos produzidos. O trabalho envolveu uma revisão
de literatura abrangente, com um foco especial nas síndromes de polinização e seus impactos nas espécies frutíferas. Foi destacado a relevância da polinização
como um processo central na reprodução das angiospermas e sua influência na produção de alimentos e na biodiversidade. Apresentou-se a justificativa para
este estudo, que se concentra em compreender os diferentes tipos de polinizadores e suas interações com as plantas frutíferas. Diversos grupos de
polinizadores bióticos, incluindo abelhas e outros insetos, foram explorados, destacando suas características específicas e a importância de suas visitas às
flores. Discutiu-se os desafios enfrentados pelos polinizadores, como a perda de habitat, defensivos agrícolas, mudanças climáticas, e as estratégias de
conservação necessárias para proteger esses agentes vitais. A abordagem utilizada para conduzir a revisão foi a bibliográfica, com critérios de inclusão bem
definidos, garantindo a qualidade e a atualização das fontes selecionadas. Foi realizado um levantamento de artigos publicados em bases de dados científicas,
resultando na seleção de 56 trabalhos alinhados com os objetivos da revisão. Os resultados e discussões destacam a diversidade de polinizadores e suas
relações simbióticas com as espécies frutíferas. Examina-se a contribuição das abelhas e outros agentes polinizadores na produção de frutos, bem como os
benefícios da polinização manual em situações de escassez de polinizadores naturais.
The present research addresses the importance of pollination in fruit production in angiosperm fruit-bearing species. Pollination plays a crucial role in the sexual reproduction of these plants, directly influencing the quality and quantity of fruits produced. The work involved a comprehensive literature review, with a special focus on pollination syndromes and their impacts on fruit-bearing species. The relevance of pollination as a central process in the reproduction of angiosperms and its influence on food production and biodiversity were highlighted. The justification for this study was presented, focusing on understanding the different types of pollinators and their interactions with fruit-bearing plants. Various groups of biotic pollinators, including bees and other insects, were explored, emphasizing their specific characteristics and the importance of their visits to flowers. The challenges faced by pollinators, such as habitat loss, agricultural pesticides, climate change, and conservation strategies necessary to protect these vital agents, were discussed. The approach used to conduct the review was bibliographical, with well-defined inclusion criteria, ensuring the quality and updating of the selected sources. A survey of articles published in scientific databases was conducted, resulting in the selection of 56 works aligned with the objectives of the review. The results and discussions highlight the diversity of pollinators and their symbiotic relationships with fruit-bearing species. The contribution of bees and other pollinators to fruit production is examined, as well as the benefits of manual pollination in situations of natural pollinator scarcity.
