Resumo
São apresentados aspectos de como a relação entre arte e lugar vem se reconfigurando
desde o início do século XXI, quando um número cada vez maior de artistas deixam os espaços
expositivos convencionais e buscam novos lugares para realizarem seus trabalhos. Nesse contexto,
o espaço urbano vem atraindo mais e mais artistas, se convertendo em um território interativo para
a arte. A arte contemporânea, com sua linguagem híbrida, potencializa a interatividade nessa nova
rede cognitiva, ao mesmo tempo que cria uma relação direta com a especificidade de cada lugar
(site-specificity). A segunda parte do trabalho propõe uma investigação mais concisa de exemplos
específicos em termos de instalações e exposições, como a série “Multidão”, de Lucas Bambozzi
e “Masp.etc.br”, do grupo EMS21. Em conclusão, as complexidades atuais que se encontram
representadas na arte podem ser ainda mais enriquecidas e desenvolvidas em termos estéticos
quando a obra se encontra livre para ocupar espaços de exposição não tradicionais e fluir através
da amplitude urbana como um componente orgânico da sua vida conceitual e material, em vez de
permanecer confinada a espaços canônicos como as galerias e instituições culturais.
Aspects of the relationship between art and place are presented. It has been reconfigured since the beginning of the 21st century. when an increasing number of artists leave conventional exhibition spaces and look for new places to carry out their works. In this context, the urban space has been attracting more and more artists, becoming an interactive territory for art. Contemporary art, with its hybrid language, enhances interactivity in this new cognitive network, while creating a direct relationship with the specificity of each place (site-specificity). The second part of our paper proposes a more concise investigation of specific examples in terms of installations and exhibitions, such as the case of the ‘Multidão’ series by Lucas Bambozzi and ‘Masp.etc.br’ created by the group EMS21. Finally the current complexities which find themseves represented in Art can be enriched and developed even further in aesthetic terms when the work of art finds itself free to ocuppy non traditional exhibition spaces and to flow through the urban wideness as an organic component of its conceptual and material life, instead of remaining confined to cannonical spaces such as galleries and cultural insitutions.
