Resumo
During a study to monograph the Barbosella species from Brazil, historical material and protologues of various species were analyzed. Among these, the type material of B. perinii, a name largely overlooked since its publication, was examined. This name is indicated here as a synonym of B. macaheensis. Taxonomical discussions, updated distribution, illustrations and conservation status are provided for B. macaheensis.
