Abstract

In the face of the growing need of efficiency in project management in the last years, agile development methodologies have been used more and more often in an attempt to simplify the processes that burden management, as well as promote an environment that responds quickly to changes. Currently, Scrum is one of the most used agile processes all over the world. Some computational tools that make the use of Scrum easier are available in the market. However, such tools still lack some important features and do not take advantage of the visual appeal and psychological effect of Scrum elements. In this scenario, this paper presents the integration of a Scrum support component to a web project management support environment called System to Aid Project Managing (SAPM). The results were evaluated by Information Technology (IT) professionals and compared to similar applications and have demonstrated the contribution of SAPM.
