Algumas considerações sobre a inserção de alemães e seus descendentes na sociedade brasileira – Colônia Riograndense – Maracaí/SP (1950-1990)

O presente artigo procura apreender, com base em depoimentos orais de duas senhoras de origem e descendência alemã, o significado que elas atribuem ao seu papel de mulher na comunidade onde viveram e sua inserção na sociedade brasileira. Analisou-se, também, como se deram as novas relações sociais vivenciadas por meio dos casamentos interétnicos, bem como as trocas culturais entre a cozinha alemã e brasileira por meio dos hábitos alimentares. Esse processo permitiu ampliar as redes de sociabilidade, promovendo a inserção desse grupo na sociedade brasileira.

Abstract (english)

This study seeks to examine, through the oral testimony of two women of German origin, the significance that they attach to their roles as women in the community where they lived and their incorporation into Brazilian society. The study will also analyze the new social relations experienced through intermarriage, and also explore the cultural exchanges between German and Brazilian cuisine, through examination of eating habits. This process allowed the cultures to expand the social networks, promoting the successful inclusion of this group into Brazilian society.
