A cosmovisão Kaingang frente as mudanças climáticas

Abstract

A seguinte pesquisa teve por objetivo duas principais discussões: compreender o papel humano frente às mudanças climáticas e seus eventos, exemplificando com a recente enchente do Rio Grande do Sul; e tratar da demarcação das Terras Indígenas e de como a manutenção sociorreligiosa Kaingang é uma importante ferramenta frente ao Antropoceno, uma possível nova era geológica. Como fonte, utilizam-se principalmente textos noticiários via internet, desenvolvendo um debate apoiado nas Ciências Humanas sobre a atualidade e as políticas indígenas e ambientais. O estudo conclui que a cosmovisão ameríndia e seu perspectivismo objetivam um modo de vida em equilíbrio com a natureza, respeitando sua biodiversidade e projetando um futuro melhor para as próximas gerações. Portanto, entende-se que “demarcação” significa uma melhor responsabilidade governamental com o meio ambiente e a mitigação dos efeitos das alterações climáticas. The following research aimed to adress two main discussions: understanding the human role in the face os climate change and its events, exemplified the recent flood in Rio Grande do Sul, and secondly, dealing with the demarcation of Indigenous Lands and how the Kaingang socio-religious practices serve as an important tool in confronting the Anthropocene, a possible new geological epoch. As source we mainly utilized journalistics texts via the internet, developing a debate based on Humanities about the current indigenous and environmental policies. This Study concludes that the amerindian worldview and its perspective aim for a way of life in balance with nature, respecting its biodiversity, and projecting a better future to the next generations. Therefore, it is understood that demarcation signifies a better governamental responsability towards the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change.
