Resumo
The actual shortage of fossil fuels has required humanity to employ the rational use of primary energy and as a result new plants in more advanced technological versions have been set up. Technologies of wood gasification stand out, consisting of conversion methods of the biomass into fuel gas. On the other hand, producing electrical energy from ICE is widespread and its application in communities where the electrical greed doesn't exist is very welcome. In this case, the biomass must be gasified and cleaned to produce synthesis gas used in internal combustion engine (MCI). Nowadays, the biomass is responsible for 10 to 14 % of the world energy production. The biomass gasification is a process conversion of this energy source that brings many environment benefits, reducing pollutants emissions. The use of exhaust gases is a possibility which makes the system attractive if compared to the same components employed to independently obtain either heat or electrical energy. The aim of this work is to design a Gasifier integrated into a combined heat and power. The hot water flow at different temperatures of water (40-60 °C), syngas flow, heat capacity of syngas, cold efficiency of gasifier, system efficiency, electricity costs production and expected annual saving have been determined. The syngas (synthesis gas) composition, the biomass gasification, lower heat value (LHV) of biomass, LHV of syngas, gasification temperature, moisture content, annual interest rate and electricity price was adopted.
