Estudo bibliométrico sobre as aplicações da biometalurgia no Brasil e no mundo

Abstract

Devido ao esgotamento das reservas minerais de alto teor e a crescente demanda da sociedade por elementos diversos, faz-se urgente o desenvolvimento de tecnologias que promovam a economia circular. Este trabalho propõe realizar um levantamento bibliográfico com palavras-chave da biometalurgia e assim avaliar e destacar autores e trabalhos com relevância nacional e internacional. A execução da pesquisa foi feita com dados da base Web of Science e com auxílio de ferramentas de análise bibliométrica bibliometrix, biblioshiny e VOSviewer. Os resultados mostraram a tendência de crescimento do assunto ao longo dos anos. Também constatou-se a concentração da produção científica em poucos países, especificamente China, Irã e Índia. Os trabalhos com maior número de citações são de artigos de revisão com temas relacionados a descrição de técnicas de biometalurgia e reciclagem de resíduos eletrônicos. As principais palavras-chave são pertinentes a biolixiviação e recuperação de metais preciosos e sobre o aproveitamento de sulfetos minerais. As publicações brasileiras, mesmo não representando a maioria dos trabalhos, têm relevância na sociedade científica. Enfim, o conjunto de informações levantadas mostram a importância da biometalurgia para a comunidade acadêmica e de como este conjunto de técnicas pode trazer inovações para alavancar o desenvolvimento sustentável.

Due to the depletion of high-grade mineral reserves and society's growing demand for various elements, it is urgent the development of technologies that promote the circular economy. This work proposes to carry out a bibliographical survey with biometallurgy keywords and thus evaluate and highlight authors and works with national and international relevance. The research was executed with data from the Web of Science database and with the aid of bibliometric analysis tools bibliometrix, biblioshiny and VOSviewer. The results showed the growing trend of the subject over the years. There was also a concentration of scientific production in a few countries, specifically China, Iran and India. The works with the highest number of citations are from review articles with topics related to the description of biometallurgy techniques and electronic waste recycling. The main keywords are pertinent to bioleaching and recovery of precious metals and on the exploitation of mineral sulphides. Brazilian publications, even though they do not represent the majority of works, are relevant in the scientific society. Finally, the set of information gathered shows the importance of biometallurgy for the academic community and how this set of techniques can bring innovations to leverage sustainable development.
