Resumo
Comprehensive data on geophysical techniques in collapsible soils was presented in the paper by Arjwech, Tamasaa, Eua-Apiwatch and Sriwangpon (the authors), published in the International Journal of Geotechnical Engineering 19 (5): 287 - 298. The issue addressed in the article has been of particular interest to the discussers, the identification of collapsible soils from in situ tests. We focused our discussion on a topic of particular interest to us: the use of hybrid in situ tests, such as the seismic cone penetrometer (SCPT) and the seismic flat dilatometer (SDMT), to identify collapsible soils.
