Conteúdo físico de teorias de campo livre via variáveis de Bardeen

Abstract

In the present work we analyze the physical content of free field theories through the technique of decomposition in helicities variables, which consists in obtaining the propagating and non-propagating degrees of freedom of the theory using the so-called Bardeen variables without the need of a gauge. It begins with studies in field theory reviewing fundamental concepts, and later, it is directed to the study of theories that describe non-massive and massive spin-1 and spin-2 particles

No presente trabalho analisamos o conteúdo físico de teorias de campo livres através da técnica de decomposição em variáveis de helicidades, que consiste em obter os graus de liberdade propagantes e não propagantes da teoria utilizando às chamadas variáveis de Bardeen sem a necessidade da fixação de um calibre (gauge). Inicia-se com estudos em teoria de campos revisando conceitos fundamentais, e posteriormente, dirige-se ao estudo de teorias que descrevem partículas de spin-1 e spin-2 não massivas e massivas
