Resumo
The proposed dilemma is aimed at young people in high school and adults in higher education, from the areas of Education, Psychology, Health, and Technology. It is a situation in which a widower is faced with the predicament of having to choose to whom a humanoid robot with female characteristics, endowed with artificial intelligence and programmed to perform the role of caregiver/companion, should provide assistance: his elderly mother, who has Alzheimer’s disease in advanced stages, or his teenage son, who is depressed to the point of self-harming. The values of responsibility and dignity are at stake.
