Resumo
Europium-doped calcium titanate nanophosphors were synthesized by the polymeric precursor method (PPM) at different temperatures. X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy reveals that the introduction of Eu3+ ions into the CaTiO3 network induces to significant changes in the local order disorder relationship around both [TiO6] and [CaO12] complex clusters. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and FT-Raman reveals that the presence of the Eu3+ ions favors the structural organization at long and short ranges, which produces a faster crystallization of the CT orthorhombic phase. The increase of the annealed temperature and the Eu3+ concentration for CT:Eu3+ powders induces to a decrease in the CT:Eu3+ nanoparticle sizes. Crown Copyright (C) 2014 Published by Elsevier B.V.
