Abstract (english)
In this paper, we present a discussion on the class of Discourse Markers (DMs), aiming at providing some specific contributions to studies on the grammaticalization of DMs. We highlight the fact that DMs do not constitute a grammatical class, and then we formulate a few insights on the adequacy of the notion of the “grammaticalization of DMs”.

Neste trabalho, apresentamos uma discussão sobre a classe dos Marcadores Discursivos (MDs), procurando oferecer algumas contribuições, especificamente, para estudos sobre a gramaticalização de MDs. Procuramos destacar o fato de que a classe dos MDs não constitui uma classe linguística de natureza gramatical e, a partir disso, apresentamos algumas reflexões sobre a adequação da ideia da “gramaticalização de MDs”.
