Resumo
O presente trabalho consistiu em determinar alguns parâmetros, químicos - metais pesados (cádmio, chumbo, crômio total, mercúrio, níquel e zinco) e DQO, físico-químico (pH), indicadores de poluição/contaminação do efluente líquido do “aterro sanitário” municipal de Botucatu/SP, visando a avaliação da qualidade das águas subterrâneas provenientes do Aqüífero Botucatu (Guarani), e consequentemente a qualidade de vida da flora, fauna e habitantes das regiões circunvizinhas. Os resultados indicaram que as concentrações de Cd e Pb na água subterrânea estão acima do valor máximo permissível (vmp) pela Portaria 36/90 do Ministério da Saúde. As concentrações de Cd, Pb, e Cr na solução do solo estão em desacordo com os limites máximos permitidos pela mesma Portaria. As concentrações no efluente superficial estão de acordo com os valores (vmp) da Resolução Conama 20/86, porém na nascente o Ni aparece em valores acima do permitido por esta Resolução. Os valores de pH estão de acordo com os valores máximos permissíveis pelas referidas legislações, e as concentrações de DQO não constam nas legislações consultadas. Portanto, os parâmetros determinados indicam poluição ambiental dos metais (Cd, Pb, Cr, Ni e Zn), sendo que o Hg não foi detectado. Contaminação do lençol freático por Cd e Pb, da solução do solo por Cd, Pb e Cr e da água superficial por Ni. Apontam, também para que sejam priorizados estudos que controlam os processos construtivos e operacionais de aterros sanitários eficientes e de baixo custo para comunidades de pequeno e médio porte.
The present work consisted in determine some parameters, chemical - heavy metals (cadmium, lead, total chromium, mercury, nickel and zinc) and COD, physicalchemical (pH), pollution/contamination indicators of the liquid efluent of the sanitary landfill of Botucatu/SP, seeking the evaluation of the quality of groundwater coming Aqüífer's Botucatu, and consequently the quality of life of the flora, fauna and inhabitants of these areas. The results indicated that the concentrations of Cd and Pb in the groundwater are above the permissible maximum value (vmp) for the Law 36/90 of the Ministry of Health. The concentrations of Cd, Pb, and Cr in the solution of soil are in disagreement with the maximum limits permited by the same Law. The concentrations in the superficial efluent are in agreement with the values (vmp) for the Law 20/86 of the Ministry of Environment. Even in the spring Ni appears in values above permited for this Law. The pH values are in agreement with the permissible maximum values for the referred legislations.
