Resumo

This paper presents a methodology based on a multiobjective mathematical model to optimally allocate and coordinate protective devices and switches in electric power distribution systems with distributed generation (DG). The objective functions contemplate the economic and reliability requirements of a distribution network, seeking an optimized plan of operation at the minimum investment cost and meeting the reliability indices specified in accordance with regulatory agencies. In the proposed model there is a subset of constraints that establishes the coordination and selectivity of protection devices, thus, in the same optimization process, the installation and coordination of the network devices are considered. To find the solution for the proposed model a genetic algorithm is used. The computational implementation of the proposed methodology is tested on the modified IEEE 34-bus system.
