A comparison between two methods for isobaric analogue resonances
Abstract
The models of Toledo Piza and Kerman (OC) and Blair and Bund (NOC) are compared analytically as well as numerically, the former being here generalized to include the inelastic channels. These models are very similar and differ mainly in that OC requires orthogonality between the channel part and the analogue part of the wave function. We apply both methods to elastic and inelastic proton scattering at the IAR of the ground state of 208Pb and to elastic scattering at several IAR of 91Zr. A further comparison is made if OC is generalized by including the appropriate anti-analogue states. The resonance widths obtained are also compared to experiment. © 1970.
