Resumo
Objetivo: O objetivo do presente estudo foi comparar as angulações dos bráquetes metálicos pré-ajustados da prescrição Roth de incisivos centrais e caninos superiores esquerdos. Materiais e Método: Para o estudo foram selecionados 10 bráquetes, de três marcas disponíveis no mercado: GAC, Forestadent e Morelli. Foram confeccionadas duas matrizes para permitir o posicionamento padronizado dos dentes e bráquetes. A captura das imagens foi realizada a partir de fotografia orto-radial padronizada, por meio de máquina fotográfica digital, exportadas e mensuradas com o programa Image J. Resultados: Os resultados foram submetidos à análise estatística por meio da Análise de Variância (ANOVA), seguido pelo teste Tukey ao nível de significância de 5%. Os bráquetes dos incisivos centrais superiores esquerdos mostraram diferenças estatisticamente significantes entre os seguintes grupos: MOR1 em relação ao GAC1; e FOR1 em relação ao GAC1. Nos caninos superiores esquerdos as diferenças estatisticamente significantes foram entre os grupos: MOR3 em relação ao GAC3; e MOR3 em relação ao FOR3. Conclusão: Com base nos resultados pode-se concluir que, a despeito da mesma denominação para a prescrição, entre marcas diferentes, as angulações não são iguais
Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the slot angulations of the pre-adjusted Roth prescription metallic brackets of left central maxillary incisors and left maxillary canines. Materials and Method: Ten brackets of three commercial brands were selected for this study: GAC, Forestadent and Morelli. Two individual metal matrix for brackets and tooth positioning were made for each teeth group. The captured images were made from standardized photography ortho-radial through digital camera, exported and measured with the software Image J. Results: One-way ANOVA and Tukey statistical analysis at 5% of significance level were performed. The results showed statistically significant differences between the brackets of the left maxillary central incisors between MOR1 and GAC1 groups, and between FOR1 and GAC1 groups. The data of left maxillary canines were statistically significant between MOR3 and GAC3 groups, and between MOR3 and FOR3. Conclusion: At basis of these results, it was possible conclude that despite the same prescription name of different brands, the angulations are different
