O Ensino de Geometria por meio de atividades investigativas: uma experiência com alunos do primeiro ano do Ensino Médio

Abstract

This qualitative nature of work was developed with the participation of a group of students enrolled in the first year of high school from a public school of the state of São Paulo, in the city of Taubaté. Their goal was to determine how students deal with geometry tasks in investigative classes. To guide this research was drawn up the following question: As students of the first year of high school express their knowledge of building triangles and quads in classes of investigative activities?. The choice of investigative nature of this activity occurred by enhancing student participation and thus generate a greater chance of it not be guided only by what the teacher wants, but by his own curiosity and using their own tools for this. In the data analysis process stands out the interest generated in students for this type of activity and posture maintained throughout the work, mobilizing their expertise to answer the questions posed

Esse trabalho de cunho qualitativo foi desenvolvido com a participação de uma turma de alunos matriculados no primeiro ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública da rede estadual de São Paulo, situada na cidade de Taubaté. Seu objetivo foi verificar como os alunos lidam com tarefas de Geometria em aulas investigativas. Para nortear esta pesquisa, foi elaborada a seguinte questão: Como os alunos do primeiro ano do Ensino Médio expressam seus conhecimentos sobre construção de triângulos e quadriláteros em atividades de aulas investigativas?. A opção por atividade de cunho investigativo se deu por esta potencializar a participação do aluno e assim gerar uma maior possibilidade dele não ser guiado somente pelo o que o professor deseja, mas sim por sua própria curiosidade e usando ferramentas próprias para isso. No processo de análise dos dados destaca-se o interesse gerado nos alunos por esse tipo de atividade e a postura que mantiveram ao longo do trabalho, mobilizando seus conhecimentos para responder às questões propostas
