Construção e estudos psicométricos iniciais da Escala Laboral de Assédio Moral (ELAM)

Abstract

This research aims to present the process of construction of the Labor Scale of Moral Harassment (ELAM), and the first steps of its internal structure and reliability findings. Participants were 687 workers aged between 18 and 71 years, most were females from the states of Sergipe and São Paulo, Brazil. Through exploratory factor analysis. ELAM was composed of three factors: Working conditions, Humiliation and Prejudice. The factors presented adequate reliability indices ranging between 0.82 and 0.87. In sum, the scale showed adequate psychometric properties, however we suggest further research with this instrument in order to perform the confirmatory factor analysis, and the development of norms.
