Potencialidades e limitações agrícolas de solos em assentamento de reforma Agrária no município de Chapadinha-MA

Abstract

The importance of land reform is to Brazil, the areas where they are resettled families should have soils with good agricultural potential. The objective of this study was to classify soils and evaluate their strengths and limitations in agricultural land reform settlement Malhada do Meio, located in the municipality of Chapadinha, MA. Four profiles were opened at representative points of different landscapes. Soil samples were collected for analyzes of chemical and textural characteristics. The soils were classified as Neossolo Flúvico, Gleissolo Háplico Tb Distrófico cambissólico, Plintossolo Argilúvico Distrófico abrúptico and Plintossolo Pétrico Concrecionário êndico. In conclusion, it should make a preliminary study of agricultural potentialities and limitations of the soil to define areas for agrarian reform projects.
