A presente monografia tem por finalidade mostrar como se deu a repressão em Bauru durante o período do regime militar, notadamente pela atuação da Frente Anticomunista (FAC). Como procedimento de análise, o estudo se fundamentou na revisão bibliográfica sobre o período, assim como em entrevistas realizadas com os protagonistas dos eventos, que participaram das atividades de contestação do Regime Militar. Depois de realizar a contextualização do período no âmbito nacional e local, a monografia apresenta a movimentação da cidade de Bauru destacando o embate entre os diversos atores que apoiaram e combateram o autoritarismo do período militar. Como resultado obtido, se mostra a existência de uma resistência ativa na cidade de Bauru, porém ausente e oculta uma vez que as forças vivas da cidade fizeram questão de ocultar toda essa movimentação.

The purpose of this monograph is to show how the repression occurred in Bauru during the period of the military regime, notably by the action of the Anticommunist Front (FAC). As a procedure of analysis the study was based on the literature review about the period, as well as interviews with the protagonists of the events that led and participated in the activities of contestation of the Military Regime. After conducting the contextualization of the period at the national and local levels, the monograph presents the movement of the city of Bauru highlighting the clash between the various actors who supported and opposed the authoritarianism of the military period. As a result, there was an active resistance in the city of Bauru, however absent and hidden since the living forces of the city made a point of hiding all this movement.
