Caminhos têxteis: a construção poética de Zoravia Bettiol

Abstract

A presente pesquisa se debruça sobre a produção de Zoravia Augusta Bettiol (1939) e sua trajetória no campo da arte têxtil, abrangendo desde a criação do Centro Gaúcho de Tapeçaria Contemporânea (CGTC) até seus trabalhos mais recentes. Busca-se compreender como a artista construiu, ao longo de sua carreira, um diálogo entre referências internacionais e regionais, explorando diferentes técnicas, materiais e temáticas que evidenciam sua constante investigação poética e formal. A pesquisa inclui um levantamento de obras têxteis que contribuíram para a difusão da técnica no país, bem como o registro de exposições, salões e depoimentos transcritos feitos com a própria artista. A partir desse estudo de caso, o trabalho pretende contribuir para uma compreensão mais ampla dos processos de institucionalização, circulação e legitimação da arte têxtil no Brasil, evidenciando o papel de artistas, coletivos e centros de formação na consolidação desse campo no cenário artístico nacional.

The following resume focuses on the production of Zoravia Augusta Bettiol (1939) and her trajectory within the field of textile art, covering the period from the creation of the Centro Gaúcho de Tapeçaria Contemporânea (CGTC) to her most recent works. It seeks to comprehend how the artist, throughout her career, established a dialogue between international and regional, exploring different techniques, materials, and themes that reveal her ongoing poetic and formal investigation. The research includes a survey of textile works that helped disseminate the technique within the state, as well as records of exhibitions, salons, and transcribed interviews conducted with the artist herself. Based on this case study, the research aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the processes of institutionalization, circulation, and legitimation of textile art in Brazil, highlighting the role of artists, collectives, and training centers in the consolidation of this field within the national artistic scenario.
