Resumo
Many studies are focused on studying the relationship of dynamic capability with knowledge management, innovative performance, financial performance and organisational performance. However, few researches seek to understand the organisational factors that promote dynamic capability. In this way, this research seeks to fill this gap by analysing the development of dynamic capability from three intrinsic characteristics to teamwork (autonomy, cohesion and integration). This study uses a quantitative approach, based on a survey involving 188 companies in the service industry. The data analysis is based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The model studied in this article relates the three characteristics of the teamwork (autonomy, cohesion and integration) with the four processes related to dynamic capability (absorption, generation, storage and adaptation of knowledge). The results show that cohesion is a factor of the teamwork that most supports the dynamic capability, presenting a positive relationship with the four processes of dynamic capability. While autonomy is positively related to absorption, generation and adaptation; and integration presents positive relation with generation, storage and adaptation.
