Ao falar sobre educação ambiental, naturalmente direcionamos nossos olhares a uma perspectiva sustentável, de conservação, associada a princípios única e exclusivamente biológicos. Com o passar dos anos, houve uma maior procura por atividades que serviam como fuga do meio em que estamos inseridos, associado, por muitas vezes, à rotina estressante da vida urbana. Sabe-se que hoje, também, o exercício de contemplar a natureza e o meio ambiente, é extrapolar tal perspectiva, uma vez que permeia reflexões de caráter político e social. Por meio de uma revisão literária, foi realizada uma busca sobre as diferentes características que concernem a conceitos básicos que definem o que é educação ambiental e as diversas maneiras de explorá-la. Espera-se que o compilado dessas informações sirva como ferramenta para uma maior compreensão de como desenvolver trabalhos e discussões sobre educação ambiental, uma vez que suas construções são influenciadas pela criatividade e espontaneidade do meio em que ela é disseminada, faz-se necessário o embasamento crítico de diferentes âmbitos para que não se perca o foco no todo: a visão crítica acerca do meio ambiente. Assim, o trabalho nos oferece diferentes caminhos que levam a apenas um: o equilíbrio entre todas as interações que aproximam a sociedade em que vivemos ao meio natural.
Abstract (english)
When talking about environmental education, we naturally direct our attention to a sustainable perspective, focused on conservation and often exclusively associated with biological principles. Over the years, there has been a growing interest in activities that serve as an escape from the environment in which we are immersed - often linked to the stressful routines of urban life. Today, it is understood that the act of contemplating nature and the environment also goes beyond this perspective, as it involves political and social reflections. Through a literature review, a search was conducted to explore the different characteristics related to the basic concepts that define what environmental education is, and the various ways it can be approached. It is expected that the compilation of this information will serve as a tool to better understand how to develop work and discussions on environmental education. Since its construction is influenced by the creativity and spontaneity of the context in which it is shared, it is necessary to have critical foundations from different areas so that the broader focus is not lost: a critical view of the environment. Thus, this work offers different paths that all lead to one goal: achieving balance among all the interactions that connect the society we live in with the natural world.
