Abstract
We estimate the number of homotopy types of path-components of the mapping spaces (Formula presented.) from the m-sphere (Formula presented.) to the projective space (Formula presented.) for (Formula presented.) being the real numbers (Formula presented.), the complex numbers (Formula presented.), or the skew algebra (Formula presented.) of quaternions. Then, the homotopy types of path-components of the mapping spaces (Formula presented.) for the suspension (Formula presented.) of a homology m-sphere (Formula presented.) are studied as well.
