Resumo

In the last 30 years, the intensity of global hydrological events has increased significantly, a fact that aroused the attention of the Food and Agriculture Organization - FAO to some areas of the world, such as pastures in tropical and subtropical areas. Thus, the aim of this paper is analyze the evolutionary dynamics of the gully sidewall and this relationship with land use, rainfall totals during the dry and wet seasons and soil. For this, was selected a gully erosion located in a sector with pastures since 1962, located in the Analândia city (SP). Thus, data on rainfall and evolution of the gully sidewall were monitored for 21 months. With this, a complex evolutionary dynamics of the sidewall was identified, become some periods of large evolution showed correspondence with the pluviometric data, but in other periods, the evolution was significantly for the behavior of soils and the shrub/arboreous cover on the sidewall.
