O método de gestão Lean Manufacturing e a Indústria 4.0

O Lean Manufacturing surgiu em um período pós Segunda Guerra Mundial, no qual havia escassez de suprimentos e de demanda, com o objetivo de redução de desperdícios, melhora na produtividade e rentabilidade. No entanto, a indústria 4.0, surgiu durante grandes mudanças tecnológicas provenientes da Quarta Revolução Industrial, em um período de alto consumo e disponibilidade de suprimentos. Apesar do grande espaço de tempo e de cenário entre os dois conceitos, há uma intersecção e um potencial aproveitamento das tecnologias no método lean. Neste trabalho, foi feita uma revisão bibliográfica com o objetivo de determinar os principais pontos de sinergia entre o método de gestão e as ferramentas tecnológicas e, também, uma análise das melhorias em casos reais provenientes desta junção.

Abstract (english)

Lean Manufacturing emerged in a post-World War II period, in which there was a shortage of supply and demand, with the objective of reducing waste, improving productivity and profitability. However, industry 4.0 emerged during major technological changes arising from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in a period of high consumption and availability of supplies. Despite the large space of time and scenario between the two concepts, there is an intersection and a potential use of technologies in the lean method. In this work, a literature review was carried out in order to determine the main points of synergy between the management method and the technological tools, and also an analysis of the improvements in real cases arising from this intersection.
