Sexualidade humana e educação sexual : elaboração e análise de formação continuada para professores/as do ensino fundamental

Abstract

Muitos/as autores/as defendem a presença de programas de Educação Sexual nas escolas; entretanto, os métodos, as dificuldades, as ações realizadas e os avanços obtidos nessas intervenções pedagógicas nem sempre são divulgadas nos meios científicos. Além disso, mesmo havendo uma legislação que considera a importância dessa temática nas escolas, são escassos os agentes escolares que assumem atividades de ensino-aprendizagem envolvendo as questões da Sexualidade Humana. Diante disso, este estudo teve por objetivo elaborar, desenvolver e descrever uma proposta de formação de professores em Educação Sexual, em consequência da inserção desse tema no Projeto Político-Pedagógico em uma Unidade Escolar. Foram participantes: vinte e cinco professoras e quatro membros da Equipe Gestora da Unidade Escolar do Ensino Fundamental – ciclo I de uma cidade do interior paulista. Foram realizados quatro encontros de uma hora de duração cada, desenvolvendo-se atividades pedagógicas para diferentes temas: diferença entre os conceitos de sexo e sexualidade, Plano Municipal de Educação vigente, Educação Sexual no Projeto Político-Pedagógico e Violência Sexual Infantil, além da análise e da reflexão sobre materiais pedagógicos nessa área. Considera-se que a participação das professoras aumentou o nível de interesse sobre a Educação Sexual na escola. Além disso, as professoras relataram estarem mais preparadas e confiantes para assumirem ações pedagógicas em temas da sexualidade com seus/suas alunos/as, apesar da necessidade de uma formação mais prolongada e constante. Espera-se que os limites e as possibilidades dessa intervenção pedagógica de formação de professores/as sirvam como parâmetros para futuras ações neste importante campo educacional.

Many authors defend the presence of sexual education programs in schools; nevertheless, the difficulties, the actions performed and the advances obtained in these pedagogical interventions not always are disclosed in the scientific area. Besides, even if there is a legislation that considers the importance of this thematic in schools, not usually do we see educational agents perform teaching-learning activities that involve the questions of “Human Sexuality”. In the light of this, this study had, as a general objective, to elaborate, develop and describe an outline of guide action for Teacher Training in sexual education, in consequence of the insertion of this theme in the “Projeto Político-Pedagógico” (Political Pedagogical Project) in one of the school units. The participants were twenty five female members and four others from the management team of an Elementary School in Primary Education of a São Paulo inland city. Four meetings occurred, lasting an hour each. In the meetings there were teacher training activities of different themes: difference between the concepts of sex and sexuality, the current “Political Pedagogical Project”, sexual education in the “Political Pedagogical Project” and sexual violence against children, besides the analyses of pedagogical material that may be used as aids in this area. It was noticed that the participation of the teachers in this workshop increased the level of interest in sexual education in the school. Besides, reports showed that after the training teachers felt more confident and prepared to assume pedagogical actions in sexuality themes with their students, even though there is a need of a more prolonged and elaborate training. It is expected that the conversations and results obtained about the limits and possibilities of this pedagogical intervention suit as parameters for future actions in this important educational field.
