Ethos discursivo e identidades contemporâneas: TedTalks com mulheres sobre temas financeiros

Abstract

Este estudo propõe a análise de vídeos da modalidade TedTalks mediados por mulheres dentro do campo das finanças e é baseado no respaldo teórico-metodológico da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa (AD), fundada e conceitualizada por autores como Pêcheux, com ênfase nas reflexões de Maingueneau sobre o Ethos Discursivo. O objetivo geral é compreender a produção de efeitos de sentidos sobre “identidades contemporâneas” e como essas identidades são construídas como “valorizadas”. Especificamente, serão analisadas marcas enunciativas que expressam a construção do Ethos Discursivo por palestrantes no TedTalks e será estudado como essas constituições identitárias afetam os discursos contemporâneos e, particularmente, a audiência feminina. Os resultados do trabalho apontam que as influenciadoras constroem o ethos de uma mulher “gente como a gente”, estabelecendo uma relação de identificação e confiança com as locutoras, entretanto, necessita-se de um olhar mais crítico perante o efeito do discurso promovido pelas palestrantes, pois não há uma fórmula simples que possa ser aplicada em qualquer contexto para se alcançar a liberdade financeira, como é transmitida em suas falas nos TedTalks.

This study proposes the analysis of TedTalk videos mediated by women in the field of finance and it is based on the theoretical-methodological reference of French Discourse Analysis, founded and conceptualized by authors such as Pêcheux, with an emphasis on Maingueneau's reflections about Discursive Ethos. The general objective is to understand the production of meaning effects about "contemporary identities" and how these identities are constructed as "valued". Specifically, enunciative marks that express the construction of the Discursive Ethos by speakers on TedTalks will be analyzed and it will be studied how these identity constitutions affect contemporary discourses and, particularly, the female audience. The results of the study show that the influencers construct the ethos of a woman who is "like us", establishing a relationship of identification and trust with the speakers. However, a more critical vision is needed at the effect of the discourse promoted by the speakers, as there is no simple formula that can be applied in any context to achieve financial freedom, as is shared in their TedTalks.
