Resumo
Organic nature is a disseminated term in Brazilian archival science, whether as a principle or as an archival quality. Through a review of national and international literature, we seek to explore, qualitatively, how organic nature has been understood and how it relates to similar concepts, such as archival bond, interrelationship and original order. Faced with the myriad of definitions raised, we found that the position occupied by the concept in the theoretical body of archival science is still an open question.
