Vozes do Antropoceno. Mapas e modelos pelos conflitos ecológicos

Abstract

The final postdoctoral report presented here covers the period from June 2024 to September 2025, during which the “outgoing phase” of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie project “Voices of the Anthropocene: Maps and Models for Ecological Conflicts” (VAMP) was carried out. The project was funded under call no. 101106065 of the European Commission’s HORIZON 2022 programme, in accordance with the partnership agreement between the University of Bologna, the funding beneficiary, and UNESP Araraquara, the partner institution responsible for developing the portion of the project to be conducted in Brazil. The subsequent sections of the report address the activities carried out within the UNESP Semiotics Research Group (GPS), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Jean Cristtus Portela, within the Faculty of Letters at UNESP Araraquara. In line with the objectives set out in the proposal submitted to the Graduate Program, these activities are organized around two main axes: the advancement of the VAMP research project, which seeks to develop semiotic models to improve the understanding of ecological crises as crises of meaning, based on field research on specific controversies; and the training of the reporting researcher as a specialist in ecological controversies, with an international and interdisciplinary profile, through activities involving the bilateral transfer of skills between the researcher and the host institution—particularly with the team of the UNESP Semiotics Research Group (GPS), into which we were integrated—covering competencies in scientific coordination, teaching, supervision and evaluation, linguistic proficiency in Portuguese, presentation of research, and publication.
