THE TRICKSTER AS SOCIAL CRITICISM IN O TRABALHO SUJO DOS OUTROS, BY ANA PAULA MAIA

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze one of the protagonists of O trabalho sujo dos outros, a narrative that is part of the book Entre rinhas de cachorros e porcos abatidos, by Ana Paula Maia, which weaves a fierce criticism of modern times. For this, the author uses the trickster character, which refers to certain specific qualities that identify an individual without roots, who seeks to integrate into society. He uses expedients such as deceit to remain in a space marked by a lack of solidarity and empathy. In addition to analyzing the figure of the trickster, we aim to discuss the social criticism present in the text.
