Sabendo que o direito de acesso à justiça no Brasil nunca foi plenamente alcançado, especialmente ao considerarmos acesso à justiça de forma ampla, e correta, que não está limitada ao acesso ao poder judiciário e aos tribunais, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a implementação de técnicas de visual law e o legal design como instrumentos de ampliação e simplificação deste direito. Partindo da compreensão de que o direito é, em essência, uma ciência da linguagem, buscou-se examinar de que modo o uso da linguagem jurídica tradicional, marcada por formalismo e tecnicismo excessivos, constitui obstáculo à efetivação do direito fundamental de acesso à justiça, previsto no artigo 5o, inciso XXXV, da Constituição Federal. A pesquisa teve abordagem qualitativa e natureza exploratória, combinando revisão bibliográfica com análise empírica de casos práticos de aplicação do visual law em decisões judiciais, manuais, cartilhas e projetos institucionais, e também no âmbito privado. O estudo demonstrou que a linguagem jurídica, historicamente hermética, pode ser compreendida como mecanismo de exclusão social e de reprodução de poder. Nesse contexto, o visual law e o legal design surgem como expressões contemporâneas de uma racionalidade comunicativa voltada à clareza e à acessibilidade, promovendo a humanização das relações jurídicas e o fortalecimento do indivíduo que passa a melhor se apropriar do direito. A análise dos casos revelou, contudo, que a adoção dessas metodologias ainda se encontra em estágio inicial, marcada pela ausência de padronização e pelo caráter experimental, e que há ainda uma resistência de parte dos operadores do direito à adoção de recursos visuais na comunicação jurídica. Apesar disso, observou-se que sua aplicação moderada e fundamentada tem gerado resultados positivos na comunicação jurídica, sem comprometer a precisão técnica dos textos. Conclui-se, portanto, que o uso consciente e ético do visual law e do legal design representa um caminho promissor para a democratização do discurso jurídico e a efetivação material do acesso à justiça, reafirmando a importância de um direito mais claro, empático e acessível a todos.

Acknowledging that the right of access to justice in Brazil has never been fully achieved, especially when considering a broad and correct understanding of access to justice, which is not limited to access to the judiciary and courts, this study aims to analyze the implementation of visual law and legal design techniques as instruments for the expansion and simplification of this right. Starting from the understanding that law is, in essence, a science of language, the work sought to examine how the use of traditional legal language, marked by excessive formalism and technicality, constitutes an obstacle to the realization of the fundamental right of access to justice, provided for in Article 5, item XXXV, of the Federal Constitution. The research adopted a qualitative approach and an exploratory nature, combining bibliographical review with empirical analysis of practical cases of visual law application in judicial decisions, manuals, booklets, institutional projects, and also within the private sphere. The study demonstrated that legal language, historically hermetic, can be understood as a mechanism of social exclusion and the reproduction of power. In this context, visual law and legal design emerge as contemporary expressions of a communicative rationality focused on clarity and accessibility, promoting the humanization of legal relations and the strengthening of the individual, who can better appropriate the law. The analysis of the cases revealed, however, that the adoption of these methodologies is still in an initial stage, marked by a lack of standardization and an experimental character, and that there is still resistance from some legal practitioners to the adoption of visual resources in legal communication. Despite this, it was observed that their moderate and grounded application has generated positive results in legal communication, without compromising the technical precision of the texts. It is therefore concluded that the conscious and ethical use of visual law and legal design represents a promising path for the democratization of legal discourse and the material realization of access to justice, reaffirming the importance of a law that is clearer, more empathetic, and accessible to everyone.
