A GEOGRAFIA FÍSICA GLOBAL NA PERSPECTIVA DE GEORGES BERTRAND: DO SISTEMA GTP (GEOSSISTEMA-TERRITÓRIO-PAISAGEM) AO SPT (SISTEMA PAISAGEM TERRITORIALIZADA)

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to carry out a bibliographical analysis of the different phases of geographic thought described in the work of the french geographer Georges Bertrand, considering, in particular, his contribution to the construction of a “global physical geography”. Among the phases of Bertrand's thought, we delimit four main ones: the diffusion of global physical geography based on his understanding of the concept of landscape as an integrator of all the segmented areas of physical geography; the analysis of the Russian-Soviet geosystem theory and its reformulation by the triad Ecological Potential+Biological Exploration+Anthropic Action as a link of the new global physical geography; the proposition of an integrated approach to the environment through the GTL tripolar systemic model: Geosystem (source), Territory (resource) and Landscape (resurgence) and, finally, the new environmental paradigm proposed by the didactic protocol Territorialized Landscape System (TLS). As a methodology, we adopted bibliographical research in several articles, books and other academic works that disseminated Bertrand's work in Europe and Brazil. With this material, we hope to be able to contribute to the discussion of geosystemic theory in the Brazilian territory, considering the impact of this author in the scope of physical geography and the approach to the landscape and geosystem in the country
